2015年5月8日，备受瞩目的2015年万豪国际集团华东区慈善高尔夫球赛华丽开杆，为万豪的公益合作伙伴姚基金筹集善款。双方筹集的善款至今已经在中国西南地区捐建了两所万豪·姚基金希望小学。姚基金成立于2008年，由著名前中国篮球运动员姚明发起，致力于促进青少年的全面发展。
今年慈善高尔夫球赛在上海雅居乐滨海高尔夫俱乐部举办，万豪国际集团的企业客户、赞助伙伴以及万豪高层、姚明等球手在此一决高下。
2015年慈善高球赛由万豪国际集团旗下位于上海和苏州的19家酒店共同举办。由中国最大的瓶装水生产商之一，农夫山泉有限公司
冠名赞助。在18洞高尔夫比赛中，所有参与者皆感受到了世界闻名的“万豪式”款待。比赛结束后，参与者在会所享受精彩纷呈的赛后颁奖与酒会。
万豪国际集团和姚基金自2013年合作以来，一直支持中国贫困地区教育事业。与姚基金为期三年的合作协议中，万豪国际集团捐赠人民币500万予姚基金，用于其在中国的西南地区捐建三所希望小学，同时支持2014年和2015年的姚基金希望小学篮球赛季项目，截止2014年，已有151,500人次青少年从中受益。在此次的高球赛后，万豪与姚基金签订了新的合作协议，万豪承诺在未来三年内捐赠800万人民币予姚基金，计划捐建4所希望小学并支持2016-2018年篮球季。
Marriott cluster hotels in the Greater Shanghai hosted the highly anticipated 2015 Marriott East China Charity Golf Tournament on May 8th, 2015. The proceeds benefit Marriott’s charity partner, the Yao Foundation. The Yao Foundation was established in 2008 by the former Chinese basketball player, Yao Ming, and is dedicated to improving the all-round development of China’s youth. To date the fundraising efforts have supported the construction of two Marriott-funded Project Hope schools in the Southwestern region of China.
The charity golf tournament took place at the Shanghai Agile Mickelson Shanghai International Club with the participation of 130 golfers that included corporate customers, sponsorship partners and senior executives of Marriott International as well as Yao Ming.
The 2015 tournament was jointly hosted by the 19 Marriott hotels in Shanghai and Suzhou. The title sponsor for the event was Nongfu Spring co., Ltd., one of the largest providers of bottled water in China. Throughout the 18 holes of golf the players were treated to the world famous “Marriott International” hospitality. Following the tournament an award ceremony and reception was enjoyed by all players and participants in the Agile Mickelson Shanghai International Clubhouse.
Marriott International and Yao Foundation have been working together since 2013 supporting education in China. Marriott International was initially committed to donating RMB 5 million to the Yao Foundation under a three-year program to establish 3 hope primary schools in southwestern China and support 2014-2015 Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Seasons. By 2014, there have been 151,500 participation of Chinese youth in the program. Right after the charity golf tournament, the two parties signed a new co-operation agreement that covers an additional commitment of RMB 8 million from Marriott International over the next three years for building 4 schools and supporting 2016-2018 basketball seasons.
