[Shanghai, China]–22, Sep 2019–Marriott International East China Shanghai Station organized the sixth annual 'Run to Give' charity run in the Yuluxe Sheshan, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Shanghai on September 22, 2019. Marriott International Shanghai Cluster Hotels joined other Marriott International hotels across 23 countries and territoriescon currently in Asia Pacific for this fund-raising initiative. Since the event inaugurated in 2014, 'Run to Give' has become an integral part of the company' stradition in cultivating a people-first environment that promotes associate well-being and drives its people to care for the communities where they do business.
今年，万豪国际集团上海地区37家酒店齐聚上海佘山茂御臻品之选酒店，此次华东区慈善跑活动共筹集善款人民币428,888元，最终筹集的资金将捐赠给“姚基金”，帮助中国贫困地区儿童身心发展并健康成长；此次慈善跑吸引超过434名上海地区万豪国际集团员工、会员和运动员参加。
This year, 37 Marriott hotels in Shanghai came together in the Yuluxe Sheshan, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Shanghai to raise funds for YAO Foundation in support of the development of Chinese youth through education, sport, health and self-esteem The charity event raised fund total at RMB 428,888 from East China, the run gathered more than 434 Marriott International associates, affiliates and athletes in Shanghai.

去年，“Run to Give”活动在亚太地区109个地点举行，来自546家酒店的10500多名员工参与了活动，参加者总计约有36700名。募集资金超过40万美元，用于支持亚太地区的非营利合作伙伴、当地慈善机构以及万豪在各地的赈灾工作。在员工的共同努力下，万豪国际不断拓展酒店业务的同时，并根据公司社会影响力和可持续发展平台“Serve 360：Doing Good in Every Direction（善行360度）”的指导原则，持续为当地社区带去积极的影响。

关于姚基金
姚基金是由前中国篮球运动员姚明发起，在中国青少年发展基金会架构下设立的专项慈善公益基金。2018年姚基金正式注册为北京姚基金公益基金会。本着“以体育人”的宗旨，姚基金的目标是帮助青少年在教育、健康等多方面全面发展。

About Yao Foundation
Yao Foundation is a specialized fund established in 2008 by Yao Ming under the auspices of the China Youth Development Foundation, and then registered as non-public fundraising foundation in 2018. It aims at promoting the all-around development of Chinese youth by providing them the opportunities to improve their education, sports skills, health and self-esteem.
Chinese rural youth have benefited from studying in the 23 Hope Primary Schools and one special education school it has funded. Besides constructing the school buildings, the Yao Foundation also improves the educational experience of Chinese youth by partnering with leading Chinese and multinational companies to build libraries, computer rooms, kitchens, and sports and exercise areas in local schools.
In 2012, the Yao Foundation initiated the “Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season” program. By 2018, students from 500 schools in impoverished areas, 922,500 attendances joined the event, letting the children experience sportsmanship through playing basketball and enjoy the happiness that sports bring to them.
