The new high speed line - 京哈高铁 ( Beijing to Harbin high speed railway) started to operate from 22nd January. It takes 3 hours and 54 minutes to travel from Changchun to Beijing.

The Beijing-Harbin High-speed Railway starts from Chaoyang District in southern Beijing, and passes through Shunyi District, Huairou District, Miyun District of Beijing City, Chengde City, Hebei Province, Chaoyang City, Fuxin City, Shenyang City, Tieling City, Jilin Province, Siping City, Changchun City, Jilin Province, Songyuan City and Harbin City in Heilongjiang Province, with a total length of 1,198 kilometers and a maximum operational speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
The initial operating speed is 300 kilometers per hour. Changchun to Beijing Chaoyang first-class seats are 761 yuan, with second-class seats costing 476 yuan.
