致游学堂的孩子：

孩子，今天是游学堂开学的第一天。

不论你在游学堂就读英语课程、数学编程课程还是语文阅读写作课程；不论你是刚刚入学游学堂的新学生，还是已经在读多年，正在学习大学英语的初中学生，你们都进入了一个新的学年。

爸爸妈妈和游学堂的全体老师们，都希望你们在2019学年，成长得更高大强壮，收获更多的知识与能力。

今天，游学堂的老师们为你准备了一份开学礼物，礼物很特别，我来跟你说说它们的寓意：

礼物一：优点笔记本

笔记本不是用来给你记笔记、做作业的。请在这本“特殊”的笔记本上，画上或者写下自己的优点、对自己的希望。

记录自己的优点，会让你更加自信更加快乐。

优点可以包括：“我不乱丢垃圾”、“我不欺负同学”、“我对人友善”、“我特别容易高兴”、“我很认真写字”……

写下对自己的希望，让你有意识地努力上进：

“我希望吃饭要记得细嚼慢咽”、“我希望我去学校时带齐所有物品”、“我希望自己能够在一周内完成这本书的阅读”、“我希望期末考试能够获得全A的成绩”……

对自己有信心，对自己抱有明确的希望，你肯定会在这个学年中获得长足的进步！

礼物二：关爱巧克力

这是一包芳香甜美的巧克力，你可以马上打开吃掉，也可以带回家跟爸爸妈妈分享。

吃掉巧克力可能只需要一分钟时间，但是请记住它的味道。在你伤心难过，焦虑不安的时候，请你回忆这块巧克力的甜美。父母家人的爱，老师们的关怀就是这块巧克力。我们会陪你度过难关，振作起来。

游学堂不只是学习知识的地方，我们希望你在这里学会关爱自己，对自己有期待并为此付出努力，这是非常重要的品质，它们会为你的一生的幸福打下坚实的基础。

An Open Letter

to Our Dear Students

at the Start

of a New School year

Dear students,

It is so great to see you again in Utopia at the start of a new school year.

No matter you are a student of Utopia English program、STEM program or Chinese intensive reading program, you will get huge achievement at this school year!

We have prepared two special gifts for you:

📒A notebook —

Not to take notes or do your homework, but to note down your merits and goals.

Stay confident and positive by writing down your merits.

This could be “I am friendly”, “I study hard”, or anything else that you appreciate.

Set your target. It is your clear vision towards your goal that assures you of your success in the long run.

Keep up the spirits and study with great determination.

🍫A bag of Chocolate beans —

To comfort you when you are upset. You could share it with your families and friends.

It may only take one minute to finish it, but please remember the sweetness of it. Love from parents and teachers is as sweet as this chocolate. Whenever you feel upset or lost, we will stand by you, forever.

We hope that you could achieve their academic success with the help of Utopia. More importantly, we wish that you could learn how to love yourself, stay focused, and get ahead. This is the crucial key to a happy life.
