Target CEO会晤民权领导人商讨客流量下降与抵制挑战
2025-04-22 17:39 星期二
Target CEO Brian Cornell met with civil rights activist Al Sharpton to discuss declining customer traffic and threats of boycotts following the company’s reduction of its diversity initiatives. Sharpton described the meeting as "very constructive and candid" and said he would share the details with allies. Since Target cut its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts in January, store visits have fallen for 10 consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, rival Costco has seen a 7.5% increase in store visits in March while maintaining its diversity focus. A Target spokesperson confirmed the meeting but declined further comment. The outcome of Sharpton and Cornell's discussion could determine whether Target can regain footing in a divided market or face continued consumer backlash.
