The full-time research assistant is responsible to support the Principle Investigator in finishing research projects related to Chinese politics and economic development. The position will be for 1 year, with the possibility of renewing for a 2nd year at the end of the first contract term. Responsibilities of the full-time research assistant include:
Collect data by using text mining techniques
Perform data cleaning and basic data analysis
Perform literature review and write research briefings
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in economics or computer science (preferred but not limited)
Programming skills in a mainstream language like C#/C++/Python/Java etc.
Preferably equipped with skills in statistical software, e.g. STATA
Interested in academic research, self-motivated, strong team player
Language: good mastery of Chinese and English (proficient in reading and writing for research purpose)
