Position: Business Development Executive
Reporting To: VP Shenzhen Office

Compensation: ¥296,077/year
Primary role in business development, you will develop and maintain business contacts in South China (including Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan), generate new business leads through cold calling, online approaching, business networking and events for whole China team. You will provide administrative and sales support to the Shenzhen office, including CRM maintenance support, trade mission, internal reporting and travel arrangements as needed.
KEY TASKS
Generate new business leads through cold calling, online approaching, business networking, events and business trips. Identify appropriate target clients then make contact, engage and ideally set up a meeting. Ensure leads are followed up promptly and in a timely manner and relationships nurtured and maintained.
Client management, engagement and progression, such us creating client presentations, supporting client’s business inquiries. Attend/conduct client meetings independently.
Conduct market and industrial research, as well as develop specialist knowledge of key business sectors to identify market trends and prospective investors to build the investors’ pipeline and contribute to business strategy for China market.
Assisting the relationship building with stakeholders, multipliers and government in South China or other regions when required, including but not limited: British Consulate, Department of International Trade, China Britain Business Council and the City of London Corporation and Chinese partners and stakeholders including the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), municipal level authorities, industrial parks/incubators and other industrial associations.
Provide general admin support to office operation, finance and team activity arrangement.
Support trade missions organised by the Grow London Global team, shareholders and partners to South China.
Support visiting programmes for London colleagues, stakeholders, partners and for potential inward investors into London.
Assisting in marketing campaigns and promotional activities in South China. Working with London based teams to provide input to marketing plans and provide support to implementation locally. This would include activities such as events, PR, localised brochures etc.
General admin support to office operation, finance and team activity arrangement.
Support the Vice President of Shenzhen and Chief Rep Greater China with the management of lead generation activities, team administration duties and other projects or special assignments which may from time to time be required.

SKILLS
Native speaker of Chinese (Mandarin) and fluent in English, excellent written skills with good knowledge of grammar and accuracy in Mandarin Chinese.
Proven experience of generating leads through own efforts, cold calling, networking and events, preferably in an international or global business environment.
Experience in a sales or marketing environment and comfortable working in a target driven business. Experience of events management and trade mission.
Good team player with strong project leadership and problem-solving skills.
Ability to establish good relationships and alliances with both internal and external networks that work to mutual benefit, and leading to business opportunities.
Excellent communication skills in offline business meetings and events and through digital channels.
Good at time/project management, and could pay attention to details.
Experience working with partners to deliver successful marketing campaigns.
Committed to continuous learning and evolving with industry best practice.
Customer first and data led, using audience data to inform activity and achieve goals.
