质量月第一周多项活动已在全球各地的办公区、制造工厂逐步展开。精益六西格玛培训、萃智理论及应用分享、 质量目标宣传、员工签署质量承诺、技能比武等活动精彩纷呈。全员的热情参与进一步提升了员工的质量意识，也使工匠精神的内涵更加深入人心。
Various activities have been launched in our facilities globally in the beginning of Quality Month, including Executive Belt training , a professional sharing of TRIZ methodology and practice from Intel expert, IFIR roadshow, total involvement of quality commitment, skill competition among operators, etc. Active engagement of our employees helps further enhance quality awareness and strengthen the core spirit of craftsmanship.
LSS EB 培训
为了进一步传播“精益六西格玛”文化，8月31日在联想北研，举行了一场为期半天的专门为高级管理层度身定制的EB培训。共有分别来自PC, MBG以及LCFC的7位领导者参加了此次EB培训。LSS项目经理Charles Potts教授了此次课程。MBG质量运营团队的夏霆和赵玲玲提供了现场支持。
LSS EB Training
In order to promote the culture of Lean Six Sigma, a half-day Executive Belt training was delivered on August 31st in Beijing, which is specifically tailored for senior management team . Total 7 leaders joined the EB session, who are from PC, MBG and LCFC . The LSS Program manager ---- Charles Potts delivered the training. Donald Xia and Kelly Zhao from MBG Quality Operations facilitated the training.

“创新”是工匠的核心，工匠精神是创新的基础。TRIZ理论成功地揭示了创造发明的内在规律和原理，运用TRIZ理论，可大大加快人们创造发明的进程而且能得到高质量的创新产品。
为了让这一理论更好地指导我们的工作，我们邀请了来自因特尔的TRIZ专家T. J. Yeoh给联想员工进行TRIZ知识的培训。
9月7日上午，100多名员工参与了T.J.老师的培训。经过老师专业细致的讲解，大家对TRIZ概念以及使用方法有了进一步的了解。
TRIZ培训是质量月的一项重要活动，帮助同事们进一步掌握创新问题解决方法。让我们在秉承工匠精神的基础上创新高质量的产品。
Intel TRIZ Sharing
Innovation is the core of craftsmanship and it should be developed on the basis of craftsmanship. TRIZ is a theory of inventive problem solving and it is proven that it could speed up the process of creation and invention and help with our efforts on high-quality innovative products.
To better exercise TRIZ theory into our daily work, we invited TJ Yeoh , the TRIZ specialist from Intel to share TRIZ/MBPS methodology and examples specifying how to practice it to solve complicated challenges and problems.
TJ gave a professional lecture on Sep. 7th with more than 100 participants. Through this impressive sharing, we have a better understanding of TRIZ.
TRIZ is a key activity during Quality Month, which developed an inventive problem solving method among our employees. Let’s pursue with more high-quality innovative products on the basis of craftsman’s spirit.
IFIR 路演
随着质量月拉开序幕，DCG台北、深圳和北京三地陆续展开以IFIR和Qlik虚拟化数据分析工具为主题的路演活动。DCG产品和质量总监Jim Loebach与质量、研发、采购、制造等部门就IFIR的由来和发展及其深远影响等方面进行了深入的交流和探讨，不仅从全局的角度阐述了IFIR的重要度和必要性，更让大家体会到IFIR对我们思维模式的影响，尤其是如何在做每一个决定时真正做到从客户的角度出发。 同时，活动中也有幸邀请到了来自系统开发团队的Yingrui Liu Olesiuk专家，就Qlik这个超级强大的辅助数据分析的可视化工具，做了深入浅出的介绍和演示。各部门也从自身角度出发对Qlik数据库的进一步完善和可视化界面的提升提出了可行性建议。
IFIR Roadshow
As Quality Month kicked off, series of roadshow on the theme of IFIR and Qlik were launched across DCG Taipei, Shenzhen and Beijing offices. Jim Loebach, Director of DCG PE and Quality, deeply discussed with global Quality, TDC, Procurement, Manufacturing and Operation teams on the origins and development of IFIR and its profound influence on our daily work. Jim gave an overall elaboration on the importance and necessity of IFIR, meanwhile he tremendously enlightened us on the huge impact IFIR has brought to our thinking model. Among all these ideas, he prioritized the consciousness of EVERY DECISION IMPACTS A CUSTOMER.
During the roadshow, we are honored to have invited Yingrui Liu Olesiuk, the expert leading Centralized Quality Analytic Solution(CQAS) project development, to give a full introduction and demonstration for Qlik tool, which is a strong data visualization tool that can build end-to-end quality analysis. Various feasible suggestions for improving Qlik database and visualization interface have been proposed among teams from their own perspectives.

MFG Kickoff Summary
On Sep. 1st, China MFG plants jointly kicked off ‘Quality Month’ with the theme of ‘Driving the spirit of craftsmanship’ . John Egan and Wilson Zhu signed their names on the theme banner , which expressed solemn commitment to Lenovo quality and their confidence on it.
