M&M China recently successfully completed a remarkable project involving the transportation of out-of-gauge freight, providing outstanding logistics services for the shipment from Nantong, Jiangsu, to Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
This project, commissioned by the globally renowned beer producer Carlsberg, included three oversized brewing beer tanks and related accessories for the upgrade of a brewery facility. Out of a total of 23 cargo vehicles, 18 were oversized, exceeding 4 meters in both width and height. The entire transportation covered a distance of approximately 6000 kilometers, passing through Nantong, Xinjiang's Horgos Port, Almaty in Kazakhstan, Chimkent, and finally entering Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The entire process took around 28 days.
One of the challenges faced during this transportation was the necessity to clear customs according to the declaration of a complete set of equipment. This required all foreign-exchanged vehicles to be present and the exchange process to be completed before export declaration could proceed. Faced with these challenges, the team of the Urumqi Branch efficiently organized the vehicles, completed cargo exchanges, and carried out export declarations, ensuring the safe and timely arrival of the cargo at its destination.
