Rhenus Singapore and Beijing Teams have shown their logistics capabilities through efficient handling of a complex cross trade project of protective gears from China to Kazakhstan. The project involved pickup of almost 850 CBM of cargo from multiple locations in North and Central China and then transporting to the final site through air charter.
The initial plan was to move all cargo via rail freight, but this option had to be dropped due to production changes leading to time constraints and sudden increase of Covid-19 in North China regions. As such, Rhenus quickly gave the alternate solution of combined commercial and charter flights from Beijing to Almaty.
Rhenus Singapore, as the project owner, efficiently coordinated with the other branches well in advance and organized all the necessary paperwork and handling. This including arranging customs formalities and shipping documents on time, as well as facilitating supplementary documents with the different trading partners overseas in different time zones.
The successful handling of the project exhibits the prowess of the various Rhenus entities for seamless cooperation, even in challenging circumstances.
