Amazon will unveil a 3D smartphone in June, officially entering the hardware market as a major player against the likes of Samsung, Apple and HTC, foreign media reported, citing sources. The company is targeting a September release date, and the Amazon phone is expected to be unlike its competitors, due to its glasses-free 3D technology. The phone will "employ retinatracking technology embedded in four front-facing cameras, or sensors, to make some images appear to be 3-D, similar to a hologram," according to the sources.
