The semiconductor contest: Global call for competing projects

The 2nd International Advanced Semiconductor Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest (Central and International division), which belongs to the 6th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest is co-hosted by the CASA, CSA, Administration Committee of Wuhu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone together with Beijing Advanced Semiconductor Innovation Co.,Ltd and TusStar according to the 《Notification of 6th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology》(file No.67(2017)), for the purpose of boosting the development of China’s 3rd generation semiconductor industry and integrating global advanced industrial resources.

The 2nd International Advanced Semiconductor Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest is a branch of the 6th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest, aiming at upgrading the innovation and entrepreneurship capability, creating a positive environment, promote the spirit of innovation and integrating the S&T and financing industry through three key modes, which are ‘guidance of the government, support from the public benefits activities and the operation of marketing’. The contest introduces an innovative mechanism of ‘Big company with small project’ to withdraw a remarkable amount of outstanding enterprises and start-up teams to settle down in Wuhu city, forming an integrated industrial chain of the 3rd generation semiconductor.

Start-up Group：

1. Entrepreneurial teams with science and technology innovation achievements and entrepreneurship programs, have not registered as company in China before Sep. 30, 2017.

2. At least 3 core team members；

3. All patents involved in the projects shall be out of any property rights disputes.

Enterprises Group：

1．Domestic enterprises and foreign wholly owned or holding enterprises

2．Science and technology SMEs with innovative ability and high growth potential

International Entries’ Eligibility

1. Follow the eligibility of start-ups group or enterprises group as above.

2. All patents involved in the projects must have no IP rights disputes.

3. No bad credit records in international transactions.

4. A clear Chinese marketing demand must be stated or the project has an intention to develop in China.

Contest Enrollment

1. Date： 18/08/2017-30/9/2017

2. Methods：Click "Enroll" botton on the up-left corner of the page.

3. Contest projects conformation period： 01/09/2017-30/09/2017.

4. Contest projects conformation： Website enrollments, enrollments through other channels or Recommendation through business partners.

5. The invitation letter and the contest agenda will be delivered to the CASA members, relevant enterprises and institutions, local S&T commission, colleges, financial and investment institutions and social medias through the contest committee during the contest. Entrepreneurs are warmly welcomed.

First Round Screening

1. Date： 01/10/2017-10/10/2017

2. A first round screening of the projects will be performed by the commission of the contest, and limited quotas will be assigned considering the authenticity, integrity and feasibility of those projects.

The Finals

1. Date：10/10/2017-30/10/2017(4 days in a row)

2. Local industrial business resources will be presented during the final contest.

3. The international division and central domestic division will be competing in the same room during this knockout phase.

4. The administrative work will be carried out by the joint-organizers.

  The industry leading enterprises will set up “recruiting list” and industry funds for the winning contestants other than the awards. The start-up group and the enterprise group will be nominated respectively with:

one first prize: 100,000 RMB

two second prizes: 50,000 RMB(each)

and three third prizes: 10,000 RMB(each)

1.The winners, enterprises and startups, will gain the startup funds and their projects can be recommended to be incubated in TusStar incubation bases, and we will assist the winners getting the subsidy of 500,000 RMB to 2 million RMB, helping their projects to implement in China.

2.The industry leading enterprises will set up "recruiting list" and industry funds, the projects which win the bid can obtain the industry fund’s support of 5 billion RMB, docking with the enterprise’s industry channel.

3.Setting up investment and financing funds of 10 billion RMB, inviting the industry investment and financing fund agencies, docking with the projects.

4.All the entries can obtain the advertising and promotion freely via the contest website and social medias.

5.The contest committee will establish ASEM Advanced Semiconductor Technology Innovation Cooperation Center, building an international industrial platform for Asia and Europe, pushing the entries to connect with international multinationals.
