一·关于辜鸿铭版本的《论语》
辜鸿铭作为清末大儒,东方儒学第一人。在内容方面,尽管辜鸿铭依旧是依照“学而第一”“为政第二”的顺序开讲,但是他绝对没有拘泥于这个顺序,而是只要找到比较合适的孔子语录词条,做出一番精彩纷呈的阐述和引申。如果阅读得比较仔细,就不难看到辜鸿铭用《论语》作为出发点,来讲述改革、教育、信仰、心灵、道德、宗教、文明、信仰、美育以及符合东方要求的女性之美等等。将《论语》推广到世界上,辜鸿铭这本书功不可没。
二·外界评价
(辜鸿铭)文字超越出众,二百年来,未见其右。造词、用字,皆属上乘。总而言之,有辜先生之超越思想,始有其异人之文采。 鸿铭亦可谓出类拔萃,人中铮铮之怪杰。

《论语》赏析

子曰: 学而时习之、不亦说乎。有朋自远方来、不亦乐
乎。人不知而不愠、不亦君子乎。
2.子曰:巧言令色、鲜矣仁
Confucius remarked, with plausible speech and fine manners will seldom be found moral character.”
3.曾子曰:吾日三省吾身、为人谋、而不忠乎、与朋友交、而不信
乎、传不习乎。
A disciple of Confucius remarked, “ I daily examine into my personal conduct on three points:--First, whether in carrying out the duties entrusted to me by others, I have not failed in sincerity and trustworthiness; thirdly, whether I have not failed to practice what I profess in my teaching.”
4.子曰:道千乘之国、敬事而信、节用而爱人、使民以时。
Confucius remarked, “ when directing the affairs of a great nation, a man must be serious in attention to business and faithful and punctual in his engagements. He must study economy in the public expenditure, and love the welfare of the people. He must employ the people at the proper time of the year.”
5.子曰:弟子、入则孝、出则弟、谨而信、凡爱众、而亲仁、行有
馀力、则以学文。
