High Conservation Value (HCV) areas are defined as natural habitats where all biological, ecological, social and cultural aspects are considered to be of outstanding significance or critical importance. The HCV concept has been originally developed by FSC to help define forest areas and use in forest management certification. As FSC, Tabu seeks to maintain, enhance and promote the importance of these values.
